Results for HOLY TRINITY MEET in the Results link. Race recap below:
Congratulations to the St. Rose track athletes who raced the 33rd annual Holy Trinity Meet on May 6th, 2012. Sixteen grade schools were in attendance with over 800 athletes competing. The St. Rose coaches wish to provide a special ‘callout’ to the 16 runners who carried the banner high for our school with exceptional performances.
Brothers Patrick Campbell (1st grade) and Thomas Campbell (Pre-K) enjoyed their St. Rose track career debut by racing the 3rd grade 800 meter. Patrick finished an impressive 5th overall amongst older athletes and scored points for the team. Speedster Frederick Groppe (1st grade) “doubled” in both the 3rd grade 1600 meter and then the 3rd grade 800 meter (scoring points in both) along with his classmate Jack Detweiller (1st grade). For those not familiar with track competition, this is considered a gutsy collegiate power move! Nicholas Lindung (1st grade) also ran his first 1600 meters to start the day and broke the 8 minute barrier! Will Reinke (K) was the only non-3rd grader in the 400 meter run and finished 9th out of 16 runners. All amazing performances by sub 2nd graders.
Speaking of gutsy power moves, let’s move onto the veteran St. Rose middle distance leaders medalists and point scorers for the day. Keelin Schlageter (4th grade) took home one of each medal flavor for the day: GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE. Keelin started with a runaway GOLD medal performance in the 1600 meter and destroyed the 33rd Annual Holy Trinity Meet Record with a 6:29 minute time. She then won SILVER in the Javelin and BRONZE in the 800 meter.
James Reinke (3rd grade) started his day with a BRONZE in the 1600 meter and then logged the 3rd fastest 800 meter shortly afterward. Ariana Sista (7th grade) won a GOLD medal in the Javelin and SILVER medal in the 1600 meter. Ben Groppe (7th grade) , Audrey Perry (4th grade) and Nina Profaci (8th) all placed 5th in their 1600 meter races and scored points for St. Rose. Xavier Warganz (7th grade) competed in the 200 m, 100 m and javelin scoring personal bests. Justin Brooks (6th grade) and James Moriarty
(5th grade) proudly represented SRL in the 400m dash with a great effort!

IMPORTANT NOTES
Please check the website for updates to practices, especially in the case of inclement weather. We will not be sending emails to notify of changes.
We look forward to getting outside and training with the kids!
Reminder: Parents or caregivers of children in Pre-k to 2nd grade must assist coaches by remaining at practice and also keeping an eye on their own children especially during the longer runs around the park. These youngest children are capable of wandering off- typical of any park experience - and St. Rose staff cannot be responsible! Please stay attentive and assist the coaches in this way. Thank you!
